California Reopens The Single-Payer Debate

The following article from California Healthline about the first ever Healthy California Commission meeting is predictably “down” on single-payer. It focuses on the hurdles, such as our healthcare-hostile federal government –  which most people would agree is a true problem. But it also presents false negatives, like single-payer’s supposed “high costs,” while elsewhere citing an authoritative study showing that single payer would SAVE the state money.  We will eagerly watch to see how the activities of the commission are covered by the media in the future.  — The HEAL Team
